Just purchased a Maytag refrigerator Model M1TXEGMYW. I removed the bottom grill cover to adjust the legs and noticed a piece of cardboard under the coils. The cardboard looks like it's held in place by a white tab. Is this packing that should be removed, or is it supposed to be there?

It's suppose to be there. It helps direct the air flow across the compressor to keep it cool.
