Turned the Lower oven on to preheat to 350F. Ten minutes later the oven was temp was up to 600F with no indication it was planing to stop.

Is this a thermostat problem in that there seems to be nothing working to regulate the temp. ?

Is there a way for me to test the thermostat short of replacing it?

Most likely the thermostat is shorted out and it has to be replaced.

- The part number for the thermostat is AP2634155

The oven has to be pulled out of the cabinet for about 10" to get access to the thermostat probe.

Good luck.
Gene.
