I'm working on a dryer for a neighbor. It's gas. the tenants in the house said that it simply stopped working. I did the following:
Removed timer and tested for continuity. I got no continuity at all so I ordered a new timer. I tested the new timer before installing and it tested good so I installed it. Dryer still won't go on.
Tested the door switch, good tested the thermostat in the back, good tested the centrifigul switch on motor, seems good but I'm not sure. tested the power chord. tested the start up switch, good.
Is there something I'm forgetting? maybe the motor?
It's an old dryer for sure but I'm like a dog with a bone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If I can't get to the bottom of it its time for a new dryer.
Steve.

Do you have power at the outlet it's plugged into?
