The ice maker isn't making ice. The light on the interior ice maker unit is blinking. The owner's manual says that this may be due to ice stuck in the tray. The tray is clear. I can make the unit run and can get the blades that remove the ice from the the tray to rotate a full rotation. The light still ends up blinking even though ice isn't stuck in the tray. I would expect that water would then be dispensed to refill the tray. This doesn't seem to happen. I do have water at the door for the water dispenser.

I see that there is a separate valve for the ice maker than from the door dispenser. Could this valve be bad? How can I trouble shoot to see if it's the valve or something else?

Thanks,

gb

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
