I removed element & tested with volt meter. Should have been 240 volts when oven was on, and was only reading 36 volts. Tested element and ohms showed to be 18 ohms. Is the element still good? If it isn't the element, what could the problem be? Upper element works.

I have a similar problem but with the broil feature. I think it is the control board but the control board has been discontinued. Does anyone have a solution?

k7puckett@yahoo.comThere are companies out there that repair obsolete control boards, just Google "appliance timer repair" Note that some units have a thermal cutoff in just the broil element circuit so you have to be sure yours is not one of theses units. |
