Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 7/11/2009(UTC) Posts: 2		I have a leak from the water valve and I replaced the water valves AP2071738 made by GE purchased from this site, but the water is forced out the orange hose connector and pushed out the hose all together. I assume the part is defective or could I have put the electric harness on incorrectly. Is there a diagram or instructions on how to put the harness AP2067740 on, I don't think the value is opening when I try to dispense water.

The inner retaining clamp could be the issue. putting the hose into the clamp seemed to be very easy with no resistance (depress the ring and put the hose in. looks loose but I think that is how it works. If you don't believe the wiring is an issue (being reversed, orange leads outside vs. inside) preventing the valve from opening then the inner retaining clamp looks like the problem. Do you have a diagram of the harness connections? Sincerely jbirkenstamm

If the plastic hose end is cut straight, and the fitting will not compress and hold it, that would confirm a bad fitting.
