maytag neptune washer was used to wash to big of blanket. The door keep pushing open we had to bang it shut to finish wash. Since then the door has been hard to close like slam it. Then it got a little harder and now it will not stay shut it keeps poping open and giving the fault code. I don't know what to replace the door the inner lock assembly or both. Can anyone help? The model # is MAH6500AWW

We cannot really help without being there to see it. I would start by replacing the lock assembly. These doors are pretty study and if you can get a new lock assembly in with little trouble you may be ok.
