I need instructions on how to replace an agitator assembly on a GE WCSR4170DAWW top loader washing machine. One of the agitator fins broke. I saw on the GE website that this can only be done by a repairman but find it hard to believe.

I assume what you are talking about is just lifting off the old agitator and replace it with a new one? If this is the case I don't know why you need a professional GE Tech, except that if you call GE everything may need a GE Tech

The agitator lifts off, but sometimes it is difficult.
