My Kitchenaid ksb5wh blender is doing the same thing I think..Starts..suddenly it goes to max speed for 2 seconds or so...then dies ..and flashes redlights...Does it over and over again..Sadly..this thing has had an easy life..C'mon Kitchenaid...
Not sure what to do with this. Seems to be some electrical regulator / control on the control board..capacitance / resistors to control electric flow for speed settings. But not sure where to get the part and if it has to be soddered into place. Or...a technician would be of great help!!!???:)
I've tried unplugging it for hours..no use..I've run it without the container..the motor runs inconsistanly at speed..goes up and down..but seems to run longer with out the container on it as resistance to motor..not sure whats up..but would like to fix it for fun at least! Besides saving a few bucks!
