I have a Maytag Quiet series dishwasher which last night ran a cycle and now the heater element stays on. I had to d/c the circuit breaker to get it to shut off. Is there a relay which controls the heater. Any other advise?

I am also having problems with a Maytag dishwasher, although different from yours. However, while searching for information, I learned of a recall of about 1.7 million Maytag dishwashers for a serious fire risk. I do not have all the details, but it is related to the heater element.
Do a search and enter your model and serial number to see if your unit is on recall list. If so, Maytag offers to repair the problem or provide a rebate if you buy a replacement Maytag unit.

Good Luck
