Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 7/5/2009(UTC) Posts: 1		i have a hotpoint fridge freezer, the freezer packs up every month due to the evaporator and recirc fan freezing solid, defost it and all works fine till it freezes again in about a month, i assume the defrost programme isnt working but dont know which part is faulty or how to test it, the resistance of the heater tray is ok so assume that works any ideas thanks chris

In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board.
