If you are talking about the white stripper (the part facing you when you look at it that the ice slides down), you need to remove the IM, take the cover off the module (3 screws) and then loosen the two recessed screws until the black housing allows the front of the guide to come out. If this isn't what you are talking about, include the item number from the parts diagram so we can better assist.

Oh now were on the same page. The two rear clips snap over the the ice lever. Open the door or lock the dispenser assembly so you don't get wet and press the ice lever back, reach behind it with your fingers and release the clips. Rotate the chute forward and you will need to flex the plastic of the chute and the dispenser front to get it out. Just be carefull and work slowly and it will come out. The new one goes back in in reverse order.

Thank you flashgordonguy and TechnicianBrian, regarding the Ice Dispenser Guide installation. I have a KitchenAid KSRG25FTSS00, which is having problems with the ice cubes freezing together somewhere above this Guide.

Well, anyway, I took the ice hopper off, and put the plastic handle of my egg flipper down towards the Ice Dispenser Guide to clear the plug. Afterwards, I could not get the ice to shut off.

Thank you for getting me going regarding the Guide installation. Mine is somewhat different, likely, to flashgordonguy's. Anyway, when I took the Guide off, I found the two prongs were not snapped onto the dispenser paddle. Eureka! I had knocked them off with the plastic handle.

All I need now, is to find out why the ice cubes are freezing together.

Could it be that an American refrigerator is not compatible with Canadian water? I did just change the water filter.
