I have 2 questions
1. We had a water leak and it appears that the cause was that the water feeder tube to the ice tray froze up. Why would that happen??
2. I am attempt to replace all of the parts for this issue and i am having some difficulty. The water feeder tube is pretty standard with the exception that one end should be constructed with a fitting/Rib/lip to allow a plastic nut to connect the tube the water source. I believe the part number is: AP4125845. Problem is that I ordered this 2x from Maytag and the tube does not have a fitting. I believe the model number for the corresponding nut is: AP3084160. Does anybody have any idea what part number I need or where I can get a similar tube with a fitting for the nut?

The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill tube. The valve can leak because of sediment in the water preventing it from closing or low water pressure. Diagram 4 part 25 is supposed to be yours.
