I have the motor screws out and it is loose, but I can not get it to pull out of the machine. It says to turn counter-clock wise 1/4 qtr of a turn then pull out. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?

Thanks

You have to loose two clamps (#452 & #457 on the diagram). Grab the motor and push the pump down to release it from the pump connect and then pull it toward yourself to release it from the sump.
