I have a Maytag Atlantis MAV6200AWW top loader that stops its cycle when it gets to the rinse cycle. In order to have it proceed I have to manually turn the dial slightly to have it continue and complete the full cycle. Also when I press the button in to move the cycle along water dispenses in the tub. I am not sure if this is one issue or two (Maybe a switch or timer). Any assistance is appreciated.

According to your description very likely the problem is a bad timer/electronic control.

- The part number for the timer is AP4029054

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for MAYTAG MAV6200AWW | AppliancePartsPros.com
