Heater fails -dryer rotates with fan on. Pressing reset button on heater reactivates it until next failure. What to do?

Thanks Gene! My problem is that I don't know for sure what isn't doing its job. From the page on theory of operation in the service manual I think it might be the safety thermostat because I have to employ the manual reset thermostat to get going again. Am I right? Shoud I order a new safety thermostat? Charles

Charles,
I would make sure first the vent line is clean all the way to the outlet. This is very important. Looks looks like the dryer overheats.
Gene.
