I just now ordered replacement spill protectors which are plastic rings that mount on the stainless steel openings where the knobs are on my Dacor SGM304S 30" gas cooktop purchased in 2002. I have to replace them because the plastic double tab that holds them in place wore down and they rotate out of position. In addition to the spill protectors, I ordered replacement gaskets which I can see are affixed on the underside of my existing spill protectors. My question is: these gaskets appear to be glued onto the spill protectors. Is that correct? If so, what kind of glue is recommended? Thanks!!!!

A model number may help others help you.

Often if a part is glued to another part it will be peel and stick.
