Display panel on Thermador is dim Half of the bars in each number readout lite up and words are not as bright as they could be. Read several of the posts but do not know if the panel on the SCD302T and SCD302Z are the same. Probably are but need confirmation if possible. Sounds like the caps help with the voltage lighting the panel display to full brightness. All other functions of the double over seem to be working okay. Dont have any working schematics or pics showing which ones to replace. Thanks for the help!:)

the two ovens you have listed are pretty much the same except for the color of the handle. They changed it from black to stainless.
your control board read out is fading, the fix is to replace the board. Eventually you wont be able to see it at all.

I replaced the display on this oven about a year ago (at a cost of $300) and it is dim again. The display came with a new control board also but I did not replace that because it would require removal of the oven to access. Is my new display going bad because I didn't replace the control board? It worked perfectly when I put the new display in and over time got dim - just like the first display. Thanks for your help.
