We have a virtually brand new unit 23cuft Firdge on top -- Freezer on Bottom. This Past August we had a(n) Hurricane which knocked out the power for 2 days. Up until that date everything worked perfect no problems. But ever since that date, we get a continual ice build-up in the bottom of the freezer and periodically it runs out onto the kitchen floor. Today I pulled up about a 1/4" of ice build up off the bottom the the feezer. Up in the back Of the feezer I see small ice build-ups near the blower vents.

What should we do to correct?

This fridge is less than a year old, and other than this the unit runs fine. The settings are at 2 in both the fridage and freezer.

Check the defrost drain hole under the evaporator in the freezer to make sure it's clear. You will need to remove the back panel inside the freezer to get to it.

Here is the service manual for your model refrigerator.

From Page 36 of the manual...

Sounds like you can get to the drain tube from the back.

Condensate Drain Tube
1. Remove machine compartment cover.
2. Drip tube is mounted to bottom of cabinet with clip.
Reach into machine compartment and squeeze the
clip to release drain tube.
3. Pull drip tube down, off drain nipple and back, out of
unit.
