Hi, I've pulled out our ice bucket and replaced the cup drive (part # AP3203248) but noticed a few things that concern be before I put this back together. 1) I can't pull out the Housing Crushing Dispenser ( AP3202913) because the auger shaft has pierced through the end housing of the Bucket Ice Disp ( AP4345118). I can't seam to pull the auger back out of this new hole its made in the dispenser housing, and it appears as if the cup drive is not seated back as far as it should. 2) the Helix ( AP3206383) and plate lock are free wheeling (i.e. not rotating with the auger, but freely spinning on the axis), ... is it supposed to do that? I can't find any literature that states if its supposed to be keyed into the auger or not. At this point, I need to know if I need to replace more parts OR replace the whole assembly. My father was a appliance sales/repair man, but I did not learn the trade and fairly a novice.

The auger and the helix should turn together if not you need to replace the helix this page should help Ice Dispenser Repair For GE Refrigerators The ice bucket on this page is different from yours but disassembly is basically the same.

Did you ever figure out how to remove the crusher dispenser when the auger shaft is piercing through the outer bin? I have the same issue. You can't just life out the housing when the shaft is piercing through the bin.
