The dryer started cutting out after about :20 minutes recently. I have discovered that the motor is overheating. I need to remove it for troubleshooting, but it has a fan on the back shaft, on the other side of a metal panel. I can't see any obvious way to remove the fan, but it has to come off to remove the motor. If someone knows the secret to this I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks.

Remove the motor clamps, put vice grips on the blower shaft, and turn the motor clockwise with a pipe wrench. Jar it a few times, they tend to stick.

Turn the motor shaft clockwise, a left hand thread.
