I have a Maytag dishwasher. model # MDB7650AWW. Tried to use dishwasher this morning I hit the start button. It started a put some water in. It then buzzed (sounded like it came from the top) and then turned itself off. Opened up the door there is water standing in the bottom. tried to restart. would not start, just makes a buzzing sound 4 times and then turns off. can you tell me what the problem might be?

Could be a bad motor tripping out on the build in overload or something stuck inside it that is keeping the motor from turning.

I would also remove the access panel at the bottom of the dishwasher and look around under it, does it look like it's been seeping any water on the motor or connections?
