Jenn Air downdraft oven model # SVE47600WS display not working. Clock is now so dimmed you can't see it. oven works. What part fixes this.

The lighting of the LED display is usually internal to the electronic control. If it is dim some component(s) in the electronic control has likely failed or is failing and the control will likely need to be replaced to correct the condition.

Thank you. Will instructions be included with the purchase of the part? Is it relatively straightforward to install.

Not usually no. The only time instructions are usually included with appliance parts would be if there were changes necessary (eg. to the wiring, etc.) for the replacement and it would only describe those specific changes, not the whole repair job.

The following service manual might help with the basic construction of the appliance:

Once you have access to the original control, swapping the replacement shouldn't usually be difficult.
