Maytag dryer no longer heats up. Can you tell me the trouble shooting procedure for jumping components (ie timer, etc) to find the problem source.
I have the wiring schematic.

Hi Jake

Your model number does not come up, can you check it.

I am assuming your dryer runs but does not produce any heat. The initial checks are for continuity to the thermal fuse/thermostats and if electric, see if 240 v current is getting to the machine and that the heating element has not shorted.

If gas, look at some of the other posts on this site for troubleshooting gas dryers that do not heat.
