Thought I had it made when I replaced the original ADC board with the Maytag replacement 6100 - whatever it is.... but I do NOT hear the relay click nor does the refrigerator stop running when I short L1 to the pin next to it.
On the original board, that pin was labeled 'Test' and on the new board it's is labeled 'Door'.
That leads me to two questions. First, is the test procedure the same (jumping L1 to Door)? If so, does that mean the new board is bad or is there another test I should run to verify that the new board is defective? The store I bought the board from made me sign the receipt acknowledging that the part was non-returnable but if it was bad from the start....

What exactly is wrong with the refrigerator and why you need to test the ADC?
The new ADC can not be tested by bypassing "L1" and any other terminals. It will damage the ADC.
Gene.

Guess I trashed the new board then...
Tested the new one 'cause it wasn't defrosting the coils - cycle never came on, etc etc...
