Dishwasher is not holding water in the bottom of the tub. Have manually filled with water but it doesnt retain it. The pump is working just fine. The dishes are not getting clean and sometimes there is gritty residue in the bottom. I was thinking there might be something wrong with the float. Any Ideas? Thanks

Hi,

Do you think the pump is running when it should not be or does it seem to drain the water even when the pump is not running?

If the water drains out when the pump is not even running then the water is being siphoned out the drain hose. Make sure the drain hose is at a hight above the water line in the dishwasher and that there is a good air gap at the top of the drain hose.

Here is the service manual for your model dishwasher, maybe you will find it helpful.
