Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 3/28/2009(UTC) Posts: 1,648		On your model the solenoid that pulls the flap open sometimes will rust up from excessive moisture causing the flap not to close good. To access the flap and solenoid and flap remove the dispenser control by prizing it off with a screwdriver from the bottom. Then remove the housing by removing the four screws. Once off you should see the solenoid and the flap. Refrigerator repair guide

It shouldn’t take too much force to remove it but I have never damaged one removing it and have always removed them this way. A lot of times I won’t even use a screwdriver I will just pull it off by hand.
