I have found a lot of articles related to an on-and-off humming noise on GE side-by-side refrigerators. I have had this same issue for 2 years now and need some help in resolving the issue. I can't take it anymore!

I had GE come out to take a look but the tech onsite said that my refrigerator was not covered by the replacement program for this known issue. My refrigerator is no longer under warranty.

What are the exact parts I need to replace? Are there instructions for replacing the parts?

Did the GE tech mention any parts? Where this noise is coming from?

Gene.

I've heard of a noise problem with that style condenser coil. Perhaps you can experiment with the placement of the baffle on the end of the coil. Part 730 on diagram 8. >Replacement parts for GE GSH25SGRESS | AppliancePartsPros.com
