Down Drat Kenmore / Jenn Aire is beeping and running a fan constantly. An Error code is showing on the digital front panel. The code if "F1".

I used this website and found the " F1 touch pad / ERC test".
I did the test and based on that test determined that the ERC had to be replaced. I bought the ERC through this website, installed it today, grounded myself and photographed all connections prior to starting work, and......

No luck. Still beeps. fan still runs. F1 code showing on the screen.

My wife is going crazy. My daughter is eating cold cereal and carrots.

Please help. Should I return the ERC? Are there any other tests to run? Time for a new range?

THANKS!!!!!!!

The model number you posted does not come up. Verify and repost it please.

How did you find the part number for the new ERC?

The problem can be a bad oven sensor or a bad relay board.

Gene.

I hope I found the wiring diagram for this range. There are no any relay boards. In order to check the oven sensor you have to measure it's resistance. Normal reading suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.

If the reading is correct and the sensor wire harness is good, then very likely the problem is a bad control panel. Unfortunately this part is no longer available.

- The oven sensor Part number: AP4009009
Part number: AP4009009
