Purchased 4 years ago. Thirteen months ago it stopped cooling, tho freezer was OK. Replaced term switch and electric control panel. Now we have the same issue...yes, there was frost buildup on back freezer wall and generally throughout freezer. We have removed this frost and we have replaced the computer panel again, but the refrig. still is not cooling. Is there any way that touching the controls (resetting to 4 instead of 3) is shorting something out, or is this just coincidental with the frig not cooling? What other possibilities do we have? (Topped the unit off with freon, but didn't change anything). Thanks for any suggestions of problem parts you might think of.... Milo

Hi Milo,
Is there still frost on the back panel in the freezer?
Are you sure you did not overcharge the sealed system?
"Touching controls" can not damage it.
Gene.

Gene, there has not been frost build up on back wall of freezer since the new computer board installed last Friday. However, the problem of the top part, the refrig, not cooling, still persists. Used gauges so not too much freon.... what else could it be..... Milo

Check if the fan in the freezer works. Check if the cold air is coning through the damper control (#13 on the diagram) Gene.
