Hi,
I have a GE Profile Gas Dryer that has just started to squeak. One of the lifters partially broke, so I took it all the way off and was planning on ordering the replacement (this has happened once before). I suppose the bit of out of balance with the age caused the problem. The squeak seems to come from two areas by listening. One towards the top rear right and the other on the lower rear left. They can come and go way.
After reading a few posts on Profiles, the fix is a rear bearing assembly and drum guides. But my model does not seem to have these according to the parts diagram and list. It appears by the parts diagram maybe replacing the Roller Assembly's would be the best bet. Can some one verify or point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Hi,
That is correct, your model has rollers and not a center drum bearing like some other GE models.
Did you get it fixed yet? My guess would that the noise is coming from the rollers.

:) All fixed. The rollers were the cause of the squeak. I ordered new rollers, installed them and the squeak went away.
Thanks for the reply.
