Okay just hooked up my new fridge. The water does not get past some kind of an electric valve manifold. There is some circuitry and about 6 wires going to it. I have tried the ice maker and water dispenser multiple times and over a period of time. Bottom line is the valve is not activating to let it flow. I found the valve mechanism for sale on this site but I am unsure this will fix the problem. I still wonder if there is some kind of signal that is not making its way to the unit or if it is the unit itself. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

If the fridge is new - don't do anything and call the Whirlpool.
It's under the warranty.
