Go figure... 6 months after our extended warranty goes out the ice dispenser breaks!!

Here's my problem. It seems as if the ice dispenser as a whole is not working. I've checked everything individually and all the items work when they are apart, but not assembled.

If I had to take my guess, I'd say that the part that the bar that rotates inside the ice holder is not making contact to the motor that spins it mounted on the door. If I take out the ice bin and trigger the "ICE" button I see the motor spinning the sprocket that should be spinning the bar inside the bin. I can manually spin the bar inside the ice bin, however when the bin in fully mounted on the freezer door it spins freely... making me think the motor and bar are no longer making contact...

ANY THOUGHTS?
