Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 6/14/2009(UTC) Posts: 1		Refrigerator and freezer shuts down after 6 - 8 hours and temps. start to go up fast. Once, I unplug and replug it resets and temps go back up to correct temp. Not sure if I should replace the starter relay or compacator? Maybe it is something else or we need a new fridge? Any ideas? Help.:confused: Thanks for your ideas. Karen

Turn the refrigerator "on", wait until it stop again and slowly turn the defrost timer shaft CW until it clicks.
