Refrigerator and freezer shuts down after 6 - 8 hours and temps. start to go up fast. Once, I unplug and replug it resets and temps go back up to correct temp. Not sure if I should replace the starter relay or compacator? Maybe it is something else or we need a new fridge? Any ideas? Help. Thanks for your ideas. Karen

Sounds like the problem is a bad defrost timer (#4 on the diagram). Turn the refrigerator "on", wait until it stop again and slowly turn the defrost timer shaft CW until it clicks. If the refrigerator will restart then replace the defrost timer.

- The part number for the defrost timer is AP3110896
