The oven will not heat or ignite on bake or broil settings. When the broil button is pushed you can hear a very light click near control panel then two distinct pops inside the oven but no lighting or glowing of the igniter. When the bake button is pushed the same very light click comes from control panel but it DOES NOT make the same two distinct pops inside the oven like with the broil button. It also doesn't have the sound of gas or the glow of the igniter. I want to resolve this problem by ordering the parts from Appliancepros but I don't know what I should order or what the problem is....with that said is there a way to get some answers to this mystery.

Try changing the gas valve, they are problematic on this design. Manifold parts Item #15

I was under the impression that the gas valve wouldnt open until igniter glowed and the oven igniter doesnt make any clicking noise at all when bake is started.

This range doesn't use a glow ignitor, it uses a spark ignition. I've gotten stuck with a spark ignitor board that didn't fix the problem. It's always the gas valve. You should hear a "chunk" sound when the gas valve switches on the oven, followed by up to 4 pairs of clicks from the spark ignition. After 4 tries, the unit will shut off the gas and wait 2-3 minutes before trying again. I service in a small rural area and have replaced at least a dozen gas valves on this type of range. (I'd sure like to get rid of the spark module from my inventory.....)

Thank you for your assistance soooo much... I do have a few more questions....the oven when bake is pushed doesn't give those distinctive clicks or pops. Now the broiler does click twice...but I don't see a spark on the igniter. I'm glad you correescted me on the glowing issue. I feel dumb for ordering igniter and spark module but why isn't the the oven clicking.

Trust me, it's sparking, or it wouldn't light. I don't have a definite answer on the oven, I just know that replacing the gas valve has fixed every one of these ranges that I have encountered (except for the one that someone else worked on before me and royally screwed up). I realize that the valve is expensive and as a technician I rarely see bad gas valves, but it does seem to always be the problem.
