The noise is likely coming from your rear rollers, and the heating problem from a problem in your gas burner. Lift off the top and see if you can determine the area of the noise, if it is in the back, it is likely the rollers. As for the gas problem, check the posts on this site for likely areas to look at (I am not a gas man) Good luck, keep us updated.
