Icemaker in Kenmore top freezer marked S 106 626636 has 1 gear that says " do not rotate manually". I have replaced the water valve & it still overfills the tray. Water runs for about 20 seonds. I pulled off the control head & everthing looks good. It rotates thru the cycle, but should only open the valve for 6-8 seconds. What could be wrong? Does the motor get slow & make the valve stay open for too long? Can I replace just the motor?

There is suppose to be a water level adjustment screw on the right side of the head or on top ofthe head face. Turn this screw a half turn CW to decrease the water level.

If it would not help then the ice maker has to be replaced. Replacement of just ice maker parts has very low rate of success.

- The part number for the ice maker is AP2984633
