I have been trying to repair an Estate gas dryer. I have replaced the safety thermostats, the thermal fuse, the cycling thermostat and the ignition coils. I also have tested the gas ignitor and get over 50 ohm. When I turn the dryer on, I see the gas ignitor glow red and it ignites the gas. But it only is ignited for about 30seconds. During the 30 seconds, the gas burns but the red glow of the ignitor decreases until eventually it is not red and the gas goes out. Can someone please help me? Very frustrated here.

Normally the igniter does not stay On after the flame ignites. I'm assuming that you replaced the high limit thermostat (#15 on the diagram). So the problem can be a restricted air flow through the vent line, a bad flame sensor and/or a bad gas valve. The vent line should be cleaned professionally, especially if it goes far away or on top of the roof. I would replace the flame sensor first. - The flame sensor Part number: AP2910747
