I replaced the clutch assembly which I have done in other machines but now there is an intermediate whining sound in the spin cycle. Any suggestions?

Did it start right after you replaced the clutch?

What was the original problem?

Yes, it happened right after I replaced the clutch. I replaced the clutch because the clothes were still too wet after spinning

You may want to check the brakes as described in one of our sticky threads: http://forum.appliancepartspros...-washer-brake-shoes.html
