The bottom element on the range went bad so I replaced it. When I turned the range back on from the breaker outside I noticed that the display on the control panel is garbled and there is a humming noise. The bottom element does not heat but, the top one does as well as the top 4 burners. When I move the door lock to the locked position the hum stops. The self-clean also works. This is an old oven and I'm trying to get a few more miles out of it. Any ideas? Thanks.

Here is the search for your unit. Replacement parts for JBP24G models | AppliancePartsPros.comAs you can see you are missing several digits at the end. Try unplugging or tripping the breaker for 5 minutes or so to see if the control board will reset itself. If the display is still garbled then odds are when the element blew it also took out the control board. |
