I just ordered ice door kit from app. need advice on how to remove the freezer door cover panel to install ice door kit. I cannot determine how to remove the trim panel and do not want to break it because it costs $156.00 from app.

The cover snaps on. You may have tabs at the bottom to start at. Remove the dispenser cover by gently prying going round and round a little at a time to prevent from breaking it.

The panel is loose(ie no attachment points on the sides) and is attached only at the top and bottom. Under the bottom is a small 1/2 or 5/8 in slot on the left and right side. I tried pusing a small flat head screwdriver gently into these slots but to no avail. Do you have any other suggestions?
