Not Freezing good, fridge is ok. Took evaporator cover off and there was a big block of ice built up on the defrost thermostat. No ice or frost is on the evaporator. Is the problem the defrost thermostat or the defrost heater or something else?

A partial pattern of frost indicates a system which is low on freon which requires a qualified tech to locate the leak and recharge the system.
