My Amana Washing machine has started throwing water out the top of the tub on the spin cycle. I have recently changed the belt but would not think that should cause this malady. I have checked the top seal and the condition of the tub. I opened the complete top on the spin cycle and saw the water come out the top. Any suggestions?

Well, this should not be happening.

I am wondering if the machine is not draining properly, because the water should be pretty much gone during the spin cycle.

Check the drain hoses and pump to see if they are restricted in any way, and if not, clean them out and see if that does not remedy the problem.
