I just installed a new condenser motor but noticed the airflow is away from the condenser. I have been using a small fan to keep the refrigerator working until the motor came in and used it to blow air into the condenser. Is airflow away from the condenser the proper function.

The air usually is sucked in the holes in the back panel, then around the compressor, then the warmer air passes by the drip tray to evaporate the water, then across the lower condensing coils, then out the front kick panel
An opposite air flow would put heated air by the compressor which will make the compressor hotter, not good.
Also, check the fan blade, the proper direction will efficiently cup the air and blow it out, the opposite direction will not be as efficient.

I basically needed to know if air should blow in front of the condenser fan motor or behind it. Keeping a small fan faced towards the condenser allowed the refrigerator to work while the new motor was in transit to me. I was baffled after installing the new fan motor, as to why the air was directed behind the fan motor and away from the condenser. However after some observing I realized it did have the same effect by drawing the hot air away from the condenser and coils and at the same time providing a way for the water in the drain pan to evaporate. Woke up in the morning with the refrigerator running like new. Thanks a million.
