Last night while we slept, the ice maker kept running and water went everywhere. The water was leaking at the back of the filter. When we take the filter out, the water stops leaking but as soon as we put the filter back in it starts leaking at the back of the filter into the drip pan (pretty fast too)
any help you can offer would be appreciated.
Thank you

You probably have not changed water filter in a long time. After a long period of time ( year or more ), the filter can crack. The manufacture recommends changing filter every six months. If you look around the end that goes in first you will see a thin line were the plastic was formed. There will be a slight indentation around that line. That is usually were it is leaking. Chances are that if you change filter you will not have anymore problem.

Thank you for your help. I ordered the filter from you all today. Hopefully by changing the filter, this will work.
Thanks again
