I have an old walk in cooler in my basement. it has an old compressor w/belt to a motor that has a fan blade to cool condenser. (the kind that knocks when running if anyone is old enough to remember them) I have a leak at the pulley(crankshaft) seal. I'm guessing parts won't be easily found for this and was wondering if I could replace it with a self contained unit of some kind or if anyone would know a source for the old compressor parts. Thanks

I think the parts are pretty easy to get on these. I usually use Kysor Panel Systems, because they have several manufacturer's parts, and they can do mail order shipping. they have a website at Walk-in coolers, freezers, Display coolers, Outdoor enclosures, parts, service

Ph: (800) 633-3426
Fax: (817) 231-0603
email:
parts@kysorpanel.com

However Grainger and other suppliers can fix you up too.

Some things to know before you call them are the old unit's part numbers and maker, or at least the interior dimensions of your freezer.
