I checked the continuity on the fuse and the thermistor, the fuse is good the thermistor did not check out.

The thermal fuse is your problem. The part # is 3390719. Take the bottom panel off the front of the dryer. Of course you are doing this with the power off. The open the door and take your filter out. Then on the bottom front you need to take of the vent housing, which is black. It is the housing where the filter came out, because the part is right behind it. Once you remove it, the part is right there. The only other reason that it would go out is the heating element broke, and it went to ground. So if it happens again, pull the element and inspect it. The fuse checked good when I ran the continuity check. I took the fuse off and jumped the wires and still a no go. I read that the thermistor should have an 11.9 K ohm resistance and it only has 8.9 and falling.

well if you jumped it out, and it did the same then it would be the control board. the part # is 8246219. if you take the top of it is on the left hand side under the metal cover. tom

Thanks a lot for your help. The only part of the dryer I have open is the bottom panel, where is the control board located in the dryer? I filled out the form in the link you provided and I’m waiting for there response. Again Thanks.

if you pull the dryer away from the wall, and of course unplug it. there are three screws that hold the top down. they are located on the back side of the front. remove those screws, and slide the top toward the back and then lift it up, and out of the way. now, if you are in front of the dryer, on the left hand side you will see a metal cover, that is held in place by 1/4 inch screws. that is where the board is. before you order the board, go out side and flip the dryer breaker a few times, to make sure it is not partially tripped, and give it a try. tom

I received the control board today and replaced it, now it will beep once but still doesn’t start. I pushed more time, less time, more time and got an 08 code.

I can't even find an 08 error code. When you take the bottom front panel off there should be a cheat sheet under there. See what it says. This dryer is becoming a money pit. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

After finding the cheat sheet I discovered the drum belt was lying at the bottom of the dryer. I will return the control board so I can recoup some of my money. Thanks for your help. :)
