My ice maker dispenses too much water which overflows into the freezer. Does anyone know how the water is metered or controlled?

Thank's

Take the plastic end cover off the ice maker and look for the symbols + - and turn it to the -.
OR
Your water inlet valve on the back bottom of the unit may be slow to shut off and causing it to overflow.Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. You can see then if it shuts of quick enough.

Hello woodchuckie,

I took the cover off but don't see +- anywhere. There is what appears to be a small clear plastic adjuster on the front under the white cover, would this be the thing. I'm guessing anti clockwise for less?

Thank's
Mike

I'm not sure what it is but it won't hurt to try it. Yes it should be anticlockwise.
