We just purchased a new Frigidaire range with convection. Its first oven use was set at Speed Bake 50 minutes at 425 degrees. When completed the top/front of the range over the oven door was too hot to touch. Not just "darn that's hot" but it was instant snap back when you touched it with your finger touched the stove. At first I thought that maybe the the oven vent that flows from under the control panel was blocked but that seems to be working fine. That is where I would expect it to be hot. I am wondering if a) this is normal for this model or series of models or b) maybe the door isn't sealing completely even though it appears to. Thanks

I have no idea about that series or exact model but you can read about the temperature surfaces of cooking appliances are allowed to get to at the following link: LINK > How hot should my stove be to the touch?Quote: or b) maybe the door isn't sealing completely That could be a possibility. Quote:even though it appears to. I would think leaking there should be obvious but if you have ant doubts, call for warranty service.
