My fridge got plugged into a 220v outlet. We we unaware of the voltage
of this outlet in our garage. The fridge is now warm and the freezer is not
freezing.

Is the motor burned out and would it be worthwhile to repair if possible?

Thanks
Elizabeth

I don't know of a 220 outlet that will accept a 110 plug, so describe exactly what your unit does. Lights, fans, compressor running, compressor warmth, temp of condenser coil, condition of evaporator coil inside the freezer behind the back panel.

It would appear to be a standard 3 prong outlet but when my son in law
tested the current it showed 220v 20 amp? I hear the compressor running
but it is not quite cold enough to keep things frozen solid and the filiment
in the lights all burned out. I don't hear the fan running and I have not
been able to get to the back of the fridge as I am unable to move it
alone. I will get a neighbor to assist today as it is saturday.

Thanks
Elizabeth

There is also a fan underneath near the compressor.

nothing. no lights no cool air. Inside feels warm. Fan runs until
you turn the temp controls up or down. Then fan stops running. I think
the motor must be burned out. When looking at the back of the fridge,
the cooling thing is on the left, fan sits in the middle and the water intake
for the ice maker is on the right. you can not even see where a motor would be.
